Zecrey Wallet Release 0.2.0 — Layer 1 Mainnet Launch

Today is the day! We are excited to announce the first version of Zecrey Layer 1 mainnet is launched.

Thanks to the hard work from the team as well as all the support and feedback from the community, we are able to reach this important milestone of the mainnet’s debut. Its a step forward for Zecrey and a big leap for the multi-chain ecosystem.

Whether you are a newbie stepping into the blockchain world or a veteran with digital assets spread across multiple blockchains, Zecrey has you covered with its user friendly interface and native multi-chain support.

You can find Zecrey’s wallet in the Chrome web store and we very much look forward to having you onboard Zecrey’s ecosystem.

Those of you who joined our internal testnet or public testnet, you will already be familiar with the wallet’s interface, so feel free to dive in right away and if you have any questions, be sure to join our discord community and our developers are always happy to help.

For our new members, the following introduction will help induct you and, as always, you are welcome to join our Discord community if you have any additional queries.

Multi-chain Assets Management

As seen above, there are currently multiple chain networks integrated in the Zecrey wallet with more to be added down the line (both heterogeneous and non-heterogeneous chains). No need to switch between chains, its all under a single interface.

As an example, you can import ERC20 tokens for Ethereum by clicking on the “+” icon, enter the contract address, confirm the symbol and decimal and you are good to go. You will be able to see the balance of your assets under the Ethereum mainnet category.

Contacts Book

Under contacts you can set a name to a wallet address as well allocate an avatar for it. We don’t memorise all the phone numbers on our phone and we certainly don’t want to have to memorise all the wallet addresses!

NFT Avatar

Debuting with the mainnet is Zecrey’s NFT mascot: The Chameleon! It is available for purchase at NFTrade. You can view your Zecrey NFTs and set it as your profile photo. Stay tuned as we will release more integrations for NFTs in the near future.

Pausing

If we ever detect a potential security issue on a supported blockchain network, Zecrey will temporary restrict access to the network until the issue has been resolved. At Zecrey, the security of your digital assets is our utmost priority. Note that during such highly unlikely scenario, you will still be able to access your digital assets at the respective blockchain directly, just not through Zecrey.

What’s next?

As much as we will love to sit back on the beach and sip mojitos, this is just the beginning. We will continue to work towards unlocking the full set of features that we have promised on the Zecrey Protocol while closely monitoring stability and performance. Our WebApp and Mobile App is just around the corner and you can take a peek over at our new official website.
